Celebrating 2 Years of Market Mamas + My 2025 Trading Journey

In this special solo episode that I recorded towards the end of November 2025, I celebrate the two-year anniversary of the Market Mamas podcast! This is a project that began when my accountability partner and I were deep in the “messy middle” of our trading journeys in later 2023. Today, I reflect on what has changed, what’s improved, and what I’ve learned in both four and a half years of day trading and two years of podcasting, much of the last year as a solo host.

This episode is an honest look at the real experience of building trading mastery. My journey is far from linear, full of emotional lessons, and incredibly transformative.

Respecting the Journey

I am doing better with appreciating and acknowledging how far I’ve come, rather than fixating on how far there is still to go. My chart-reading ability, patience, and internal steadiness have grown tremendously, and that deserves recognition.

The Emotional Side of Day Trading

Trading teaches you to get punched in the face and get back up. So many times. Specifically, I have improved with:

  • Navigating variance

  • Handling tilt days

  • Coping with real-life distractions (hello, mom-life summers)

  • Learning not to let losing days spiral into losing weeks

My lows are less severe, my recoveries are faster, and I’m becoming more grounded and resilient. Thank goodness!

What “Profitability” Really Means

While I wasn’t consistently green every month this year, I have remained net profitable overall—covering prop firm fees, commissions, and mentorship costs. The real win, though, is refining my process, tightening my edge, and understanding that long-term profitability is a marathon, not a monthly scoreboard.

“The real growth comes when you keep getting back up every day, even after the hard ones, and stay relentlessly dedicated to the work.”

~ Becky Gaskell, Market Mamas

Big Changes & New Opportunities

This year brought major shifts in my world:

  • Producing & hosting Market Mamas solo

  • Reshaping my support circle

  • Stepping into a new role with BluSky Trading Company, where I now host a weekly psychology lab and livestream the futures markets 3 days a week

These opportunities grew directly out of showing up, staying dedicated, and continuing to share the honest side of trader psychology.

The Deeper Work: Mindset, Identity, and Growth

Trading has been as much an internal transformation as a career pursuit. I talk openly about the psychological work behind becoming a better trader, as well as a stronger, more grounded human. It’s about healing old patterns, cultivating confidence, and relentlessly pursuing long-term goals with humility and hunger.

If you’re navigating the ups and downs of becoming a consistently profitable futures trader, or if you simply need to hear that your experience is normal, this episode is for you! I am glad that you found me.

Check out the full episode above and join me in celebrating two years of showing up, learning, growing, and trading with my head AND my heart.

Cheers to the Market Mamas community, and thank you for being here. To those who show up for these conversations, the mental effort and time dedication, you are my people and I would love to get to know you better! Please take a moment to shoot me a comment on https://www.market-mamas.com/contact! Catch you next time! Keep learning, keep growing, and keep trusting yourself. We got this!
