Welcome back guys, Market Mamas host Becky here! I started learning about trading 4 years ago (Spring 2021) and seriously about 3 years ago from my current mentor Jermaine. And I’ve been training with Amy with physical fitness, nutrition and self talk for about double that. But I’d say it was about 2 years ago that it really clicked for me how truly critical it is for my mind to be healthy, balanced, positive, and forward focused for all of my biggest goals to actually be possible. Honestly, for like my whole life before then, I would easily get wrapped up in drama, negativity, news hype, or other petty or unproductive thought patterns. But Amy was always consistent with how she spoke to herself and her clients, and so a more positive and empowering inner dialogue started from my time with her. 

In terms of trading, Jermaine brought it all together though. It was when I was repeatedly feeling like I was gaining an edge with the market and starting to take frequent killer trades as I learned from him, but then would still self sabotage and blow it all alternatively in a boom and bust cycle that I really honestly got so fed up with myself over! Around that time, I decided to embrace Jermaine's steadfast encouragement on this subject and seriously start trying very intentionally to change my mind in an effort to then really change my life and my outcomes. Essentially break out and up from that very frustrating cycle. Jermaine advised that I had to reshape how I viewed and spoke to myself and that was so clearly echoed by Amy and in many books I consumed, such as the work of Dr. Joe Dispenza (https://youtu.be/GY7ssmkwtFA?si=L94yfoVcI4CJShyy). 

As I started to control my thoughts and self talk more consistently and put in the work there, I swear, my equity curve literally responded! I was finally more consistent with account growth and started to receive some big deal payouts last year as a result of who I was becoming. I drank the Kool-Aid and it freaking worked! My coach Jermaine still will guide us in his community all the time on this, and now I am just in a cycle with certain content creators and speakers that I read or listen to, such as the amazing Amanda Frances (https://youtu.be/XnPLytZ1yzs?si=R48RvIaFzyM2pzrZ), that help feed my mind the right type of influence that I listen to in my down time, such as while driving or showering at the end of the night. It’s literally powerful food for my mind. 

But, one of my absolute best hacks with this that I am SO EXCITED to share with you all is this woman in this episode with me: Amy, my coach. I workout with Amy on her app, Fit by Wix, 4-5 days a week (access info at the bottom of this page). Since joining Amy when I was pregnant with my middle boy, I slowly gained a serious love for feeling strong and capable. What’s special though about Amy over any trainer or gym is HOW she teaches. 

Now, let me tell you about the value add of what I do with Amy! There are crazy benefits from daily physical activity. When I workout, strengthen my body and sweat out toxins, even with my recovering back injury, I always feel stronger afterwards! I work out the strain, soreness in joints or back, and potential stress if my morning trading session was hard or another life stressor is weighing heavily on me. And while we work out, Amy also feeds my brain! 

This woman is boss with telling me everything I need to hear daily about sticking to my goals, my abilities to do hard things, my unlimited potential, my ability to hold a little longer when it feels heavy, the power of holding faith and a positive outlook on my day and my life. She reminds me of my goals, and my strength, and my worthiness! But she says it all organically and naturally while we are working out and I swear it is true - messages sink in deeper when we are not distracted or only half listening. When I am listening to Amy in the exercise session to hear the moves at the time splits, as well as her life guidance, I am wholly focused and not over thinking any of it. And so, she is so much more effective. It is a prime moment and opportunity for our brains when this self talk coaching is paired with physical activity, I swear! A few times even I have had to pause the exercise video to make a note in real time of something she says so I can think more on it or journal about it afterwards.
